As promised, here are the projects I created with this adorable kit! I was seriously under pressure to get something done before I left for vacation but I got lucky... this kit was one of those where you sit down and just pump out project after project (love when that happens!)... =)

***Confession*** I've never used a 12x12 transparency before.

***Confession*** I know my ribbon is crooked.

***Confession*** I couldn't find anything with to paint those circles so I used a can of Red Bull WITH liquid in it (yeah, I was drinking it)... apparently I like to live dangerously. P.S. Shout out to SUE my friend who sent this to me!! =)

And finally... here is my trick that I am going to share with you today! In celebration of the upcoming holidays, here is an easy way to use some scraps and make the perfect gift bow!

To start, you will need:

8 - 10 Paper strips (I used (8) 1" strips)
Paper Cutter
Pencil
Ruler
Small Hole Punch
1 - 2 Brads
Glue Dots
... and a little patience! ;)

Step 1: Make marks (on the backside) of your strips where you want to hole punch them, there should be 3 (one on each end about 1/2" in and one in the center), use a ruler to line them up. Then Punch the holes out with your small hole punch.

Step 2: Loop the ends of your strip around and connect in the center like a figure eight. Secure with a brad, but don't fold the brad down, you'll repeat this process onto the same brad.

Step 2: As you repeat the process (and depending on how large you want your bow!) you may notice it easier to deal with smaller "bunches" ... for me, I prefer to make two separate "bunches" of 4 figure eights and then glue dot the two "bunches" together.

FINISHED PRODUCT: Fluff the bow however you would like it and you're done!!

And here’s my Fall Inspired project that I’d like to share with you….

I wanted the colors to be fall inspired, BUT go with a theme that was "Fall Inspired" from different angle, so I came up with "Falling For" ... and made it a love story =) I found the most perfect quote for this project and for my life and knew this was all "falling" into place ;)

One of the techniques I used here was using a sketch... did you know that EVERY Saturday we debut a new sketch over at WeScrap? Its called Sketchy Saturdays and not only are you guaranteed inspiration (through the sketches and DT examples) but you also earn chances to WIN PRIZES! Check out all of the sketches HERE.

The sketch I used was created by Ally... check it out HERE, you still have time to use it too!

One of the things to keep in mind when using a sketch is that you can interpret it as literal or inspirational as YOU want. As you can see, I didn't copy this verbatim, but the sketch itself was the entire inspiration of my project. I hope to see what YOU can do with this (and other) sketches!

Came across a cool documentary (broken down in 3 parts) by Palladium Boots and explored by Johnny Knoxville. Definitely worth watching, certainly clears up some misconceptions provided by the media ... didn't show all of the different things going on on my hometown, but focused a lot of what our generation is bringing to the table through entrepreneurship and art.

Getting to know me...

I was tagged by Ally, so here goes!

1. If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing it that way; if you are not anonymous do you wish you had started out anonymously so you could be anonymous now?
No, I don't blog anonymously... but I also don't really "advertise" (to my family/friends) about my blogging. Don't know why really, just feel way too uncool for a blog.

2. Describe one incident that shows your inner stubborn side.
Just one? LOL, no seriously, just one? How about a few small ones: I have to have the last word, I don't believe in ever making two trips to carry something, I hold grudges even though I don't mean to, I push the envelope with regards to deadlines... I could go on and on.

3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the face in the mirror?
That's a hard question to answer, I've never really thought about that. I have a real love/hate relationship with myself; sometimes I love who I see and sometimes I hate who I see.

4. What is your favorite summer cold drink?
I honestly LOVE water! But on occasion I've been known to down a few fruity, summery cocktails =)

5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?
I'm lucky that I have a fair amount of spare time... but when I really (honestly) do something for myself (not like going to dinner or watching my favorite reality tv shows), I like to work out, challenge myself to cook new things and treat myself to spa treatments.

6. Is there something you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?
Waaay too many things to mention here.

7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the class shy person, or always ditching school? Describe who you were if not one of these.
Overachiever with a hint of class clown, that probably still describes me well these days LOL.

8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment in your life, what do you see?
2002... and I'm with Ally, no details here! Its just the year I really grew up and became the person I am today.

9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events?
It is difficult for me actually... I feel like I have to censor myself a bit and watch what I say. I shouldn't feel like that but I'm always worried about what other people think.

10. If you had the choice to sit and read or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?
I'm so over phones... if I can't text or email, I probably won't talk to you ;) So I choose read... a magazine of course =)

My mini book was inspired by something I saw a long time ago on Ali Edwards' blog. I used leftover acetate from an old previous project and created pages that I stitched together to create this delicate mini album of my "Wedding Pregame" ...
